An exceptional array of facilities is assembled throughout Birkdale Tower Lodge to enable the delivery of exemplary care and support.
The modern, purpose-built Lodge is finished with comfortable furnishings that have been blended with practical and easily accessible facilities to help residents independently enjoy a lovely ‘home from home’ space.
Bedrooms
Each of the Lodge’s bedrooms feature high-quality fittings and fixtures including an adjustable profiling bed, flat-screen TV, wireless internet connection plus an en suite wet room. The rooms are also complete with wireless alert systems to enable residents to contact the care team 24 hours a day.
Lounges
Birkdale Tower Lodge is home to several communal lounges each intelligently designed to help and guide residents around the facilities independently.
Lodge’s itinerary of activities to promote mental and physical wellbeing are held in the lounges and include musical sessions, exercise classes and more.
Hair & Beauty Salon
Our in-house hair & beauty salon comes with a resident hairstylist, who is available to you and all other residents. You are more than welcome to invite your own personal hairdresser to visit if you wish.
Here we also provide beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures and hand massages.
Dining
Excellent care and attention has been made to the Lodge’s dining rooms to ensure residents receive the most out of their dining experience.
Beautifully set tables matched with delicious home-cooked dishes make meal times an enjoyable experience. Birkdale Tower Lodge has a team of in-house chefs producing balanced, nutritious meals that are in accordance with our resident’s needs and dietary requirements.
Cinema
Birkdale Tower Lodge is proud to boast its very own cinema room where residents can relax to films, television shows and sporting programmes. Screening of favourite shows and movies is a great way for our residents’ to reminisce over classic films, with the experience enhanced by our cinema’s popcorn machine for ultimate enjoyment.
Visiting Services
Numerous visiting professionals are welcomed to Birkdale Tower Lodge to provide a range of services. The team work closely with local health and social care providers who visit the Lodge regularly for the benefit and convenience of residents.
These include local GPs, district nurses, an optician and chiropodist. Birkdale Tower Lodge is also equipped with its own Hair & Beauty Salon manned by our resident hairstylist.
Activities, Outings & Wellbeing
Birkdale Tower Lodge has a thriving and purposeful activity programme which includes trips out and about in the Southport area as well as organised excursions to places of interest.
The aim of each of our activities is to inspire communication, social interaction, movement and reminiscence. Our Activities and Wellbeing Team also encourage residents to continue with pastimes, sports and community groups they previously engaged in.
Landscaped Gardens
Together with their families and friends, residents have access to the Lodge’s beautifully manicured gardens where they are encouraged to stay active and even try their hand at gardening!
Putting Green
As Birkdale is known for its famous golf course, the Lodge wouldn’t be complete without its very own putting green. Residents are able to enjoy this space in the garden for a game of mini golf or even boules.
Visiting – Family & Friends
Birkdale Tower Lodge always warmly welcomes residents’ family and friends. We consider it an essential way for our residents to keep in touch with their loved ones while promoting mental wellbeing.
Visits are made easy with the Lodge’s private visitors’ car park and can be enjoyed in one of the many spacious lounges or in the comfort and privacy of their own rooms.
Prior arrangements can be made for family and friends to join residents for meal times or a quick cup of tea using our residents’ kitchen facilities.
Residents are also able to keep in contact using the Lodge’s internet access and telephones.

Birkdale is a quaint village known for one of England’s finest golf courses and is situated close to the bustling town of Southport.
With its scenic cycling routes, picturesque heritage trails and great transport links Birkdale is easily accessible, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
